MUA 2020 WA State Final

Thursday February 20th saw the WA Final take place at the beautiful QT Perth. Hosted by Caris Tiivel and Sophia Barbagallo the State’s 14 Finalists vied for a spot in the National Final. The evenings presentations saw Kya Pedric crowned as Miss West Coast 2020. The girls were dressed in. Diana Congilio, Kya Pedric, Tash Marciano and Zara Edgar all scored places as National Finalists.

ABOUT ME: “Born and raised in Perth, my background is Italian. Im a tomboy at heart and Ive played almost every sport under the sun but it was in 2012 where I found my passion for track and field and made the national team In my first year of doing track so in my spare time you can catch me running 200m bends for fun. I love to travel and meet new people and hope to relocate to another country in the near future.”

ABOUT ME: “I am Western Australian born and bred but have a huge passion for travel which has taken me to some extraordinary places from Hawaii to Milan although nothing can compare to the beaches on our own doorstep. A personal goal I have achieved was moving to another country by myself, I spent 2 years traveling around Canada in my van whilst learning how to snowboard. My passion lies within the conservation and protection of our environment and animals species, I wish to spread awareness of how all of us as individuals can help make a change.”

ABOUT ME: “I'm from Perth WA and I work full time in Radio at hit929 & mix94.5 as a Sales & Advertising Coordinator. I absolutely love it, it's great fun and there's something different happening every day. I have my degree in Marketing, Public Relations & Advertising. I was a little hesitant to register for Miss Universe Australia in the past, mainly because I'm a Curve Model. I thought I'd give it a go this year as I think the industry is really evolving and we're in a place where we are able to celebrate diversity. I love spending time with my family & friends, I love music, sports & art.”

OCCUPATION: Bachelor of Commerce / Business Law and International Business Student
ABOUT ME: “I am originally from Melbourne, and after finishing school I moved myself across the country to Perth for both a change in lifestyle and to pursue my studies. I have a passion for creating change in the world so I hope to one day complete my Masters in Project Management, where I then have a career goal to one day be a part of developing major facilities targeting the growth and expansion of the renewable energy industry.”
